Beehive Salon is one of Edinburgh’s best-kept secrets, a hair salon tucked inside the vibrant artist studios of Out of the Blue in Leith. Surrounded by jewellery makers, fashion designers, performers, and a bustling community café, it’s an unexpectedly creative setting for a salon, and that’s exactly what makes it special.

Beehive attracts a loyal mix of local clients and well-known faces, and is widely regarded as the go-to beauty people in the city. With deep roots in film, commercial, advertising, fashion, and wedding work, they have the whole hair and make-up industry tucked into their kits.

For this project, I created branded wall art that ties seamlessly into their identity, bringing the creativity of the building and the personality of the salon together in one cohesive visual story.
